Each year, the Colorado Governor’s Operations Team brings together performance management and strategy leads of state agencies to review opportunities to drive the Governor’s Wildly Important Goals (WIGs) for Colorado. The Colorado Lab joined this year’s convening, with Drs. Courtney Everson and Kristin Klopfenstein presenting on Theories of Change as a vital tool for achieving agency WIGs. Theories of Change are an important element of Evidence-Based Decision Making (EBDM) in policymaking (see the example of a simple Theory of Change for EBDM on page 2).

To learn more about EBDM, and the Colorado Lab’s role as the coordinating entity for Evidence-Based Decision Making in state government, please contact Dr. Courtney Everson.
