Colorado Wage and Outcomes Results Coalition Grows Reach
The Colorado Wage Outcomes Results Coalition (WORC) is a data-sharing initiative created in response to a growing demand from workforce development programs to know what happens to their learners after program participation. Leveraging the Linked Information Network of Colorado to access Colorado Department of Labor and Employment data, WORC is unlocking administrative data previously unavailable to the training partners. Some of the first cohort of training providers were able to use these data to support their requests for reimbursement from Prosperity Denver Fund for the cost of providing training to Denver low-income learners.
Data collection for the second cohort of workforce training programs is underway. Programs in this cohort include Emily Griffith Technical College, Breakthrough, Bayaud Enterprises, and Goodwill of Colorado. As data collection is completed for this cohort, the focus will then shift to establishing an evidence base for the statewide, $92 million Opportunity Now Colorado (ON) grant program. The ON program was established through Colorado House Bill 22-1350 and connects regional industry and education partners to identify talent to fill local jobs, with a focus on the education, healthcare, and infrastructure sectors.
