Shannon came to the Colorado Lab to support its results-driven focus on translating research findings into public practice and policy. Her previous experience with differing socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds along with her technical aptitude prepared her well for coordinating efforts across projects with the Colorado Lab. After earning a bachelor’s degree, Shannon worked as a procurement coordinator and project delivery team lead in the engineering industry and as a software consultant for an international airport. She continues her education at the University of Denver, currently holding a graduate certificate in geographic information systems and coursework in organizational leadership and technology management. The Colorado Lab’s variety of work interests Shannon as it sparks creative thinking to accomplish goals.
The Essential Element that speaks most strongly to her is prioritizing relationships. From first-hand experience, she has learned the value of building trusting relationships to support each other’s needs.
Shannon finds joy in rainy weather and morning walks in the mountains.
