Mark joined the Colorado Lab to apply his background in economics and professional experience to help local governments and partners address challenges in his home state of Colorado.
He earned his Master’s Degree in Economics from CU Denver, where he focused on applied microeconomic research. Before joining the Colorado Lab, Mark served as Chief of Staff for a startup analysis group dedicated to combating disinformation. He also spent over four years consulting with Deloitte, primarily within the federal healthcare space. Mark’s diverse experience spans a range of organizations, including nonprofits, the United Nations, and startups. He previously studied international affairs, conflict resolution, and Arabic at Occidental College.
Mark is passionate about the Colorado Lab’s work in good government, workforce development, and justice. The Colorado Lab’s essential element of “sustaining change” resonates deeply with him, and he believes this can be achieved through rigor and partnerships.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his partner, Mary, and their dog, Walter. He also loves cooking, baking, skiing, and going on long runs.
