Gionna joined the Colorado Lab to continue supporting evidence-based research for meaningful action. Gionna previously worked at the Colorado Department of Education as the Reading to Ensure Academic Development Act (READ) Act Program Assistant, where she assisted grant managers and literacy consultants in data collection and tracking; and communication with stakeholders with READ Act grants, trainings, and legislative requirements. She most enjoys providing administrative support to the Colorado Lab’s work in the early childhood field.

Of the Colorado Lab’s Essential Elements, sustaining change most represents why Gionna joined the Colorado Lab. Gionna admires the commitment to identify opportunities to foster systemic change—to provide potential solutions rather than to only identify problems.
