Project Abstract

A large number of Coloradans find themselves in need of services from multiple public systems in Colorado including healthcare, housing, employment, and family supports. This project starts the work of building common metrics of public system utilization, including total costs and time spent receiving services, so that state government leadership and their teams can better understand shared cost and commitment to Colorado residents.

This work begins with system utilization metrics for healthcare billed to Medicaid and child welfare services, and it is anticipated to expand into other priority areas such as mental health and substance abuse treatment, unemployment benefits, and workforce programs.
