Child Support Churn Study

The Colorado Lab will work with the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) to determine how best to use data to identify why and when non-custodial parents change the way they pay their child support. Changes in payment behavior (e.g., paying regularly for many prior months, then skipping a month) are, for the purposes of this study, described as “churn.” In collaboration with the CDHS, the Lab will study churn patterns that could be the focus of future behaviorally-informed interventions to prevent this disruption in child support payments.
